Casio's CDP-S160 is a slim-built, full-sized digital piano with an 88-key hammer action keyboard.
Like the rest of the CDP-S series, it is compact, lightweight and ultra portable. Because it can be run off AC power or batteries, you can play it not just however you like but wherever you like, too.
The Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard Ⅱ is an action mechanism with hammer weighting, allowing for a great balance of slim size and responsive touch. The keys themselves have synthetic ebony and ivory texturing, giving it a comfortable feel similar to that of an acoustic piano.
With the built-in 2x 8 watt stereo speakers, the digital piano can also be experienced in full sound. The keyboard is 64-voice polyphonic playable and holds ten reworked and selected sounds, which can be enriched with reverb and chorus effects. Casio also made subtle changes for a better response to velocity and time making the piano tones even more natural and broadening your range of expression.
The metronome function is a useful aid when practicing and playing. The Duet mode allows you to distribute and play two different sounds on the keyboard. In addition, the CDP-S160 BK has a recording function with a capacity of approx. 2500 notes, which is enough for several minutes of playing time, depending on the playing style. Via the USB connection, it can also be used as a master keyboard for music production software.
The CDP-S160 is compatible with the fixed three-pedal stand CS-470P and the three-pedal unit SP-34 (both sold separately) , suitable for both piano practice and performance. The damper pedal can be depressed lightly to produce a half-dampened sound.
